Broadcast Codec  ·  Last updated: September 3, 2026

Overview

Broadcast Codec is a reference tool for broadcast engineering professionals. This policy describes how the app handles your information.

Data Collection

Broadcast Codec does not collect, store, or share any personal data. The app contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising SDKs, and no telemetry of any kind.

Internet Access

On first launch the app downloads its own interface files (markup, styles, fonts, and icons) from its host. After that, the app shell runs entirely offline from a local service-worker cache. The app makes no requests to any third-party domain, and no user-generated data is transmitted to any server at any time.

Permissions

The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage, or any other device permissions beyond standard internet access for the initial load.

Third-Party Services

Netlify — The app is hosted on Netlify. As part of standard hosting infrastructure, Netlify may record server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages accessed) when the app's files are downloaded. These logs are governed by Netlify's Privacy Policy. The developer has no access to or control over these logs. The app itself sends nothing to Netlify beyond the requests a browser makes to load a web page.

The app bundles its own fonts and contains no other third-party services, SDKs, analytics, or content-delivery calls.

Children's Privacy

This app is intended for professional use and is not directed at children under the age of 13. No personal data is collected from any users, including children.

Changes to This Policy
